It is now set to grow in 2021 and has a need for a Marketing Associate to support the running of Surgeon education events and various operations for the Global Marketing Department.



Responsible for implementation of agreed external and internal events as organised by Product Managers and

Business Managers to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget. Be integral to the continuous

improvement of such events developing market leading courses, inspired and focused events. To monitor

expenditure and develop systems to enable review of performance. Set up and oversee systems for the

delivery of exhibition equipment and associated samples. Support some legal processes administratively and certification processes for new employees.




  • Carry out research, planning and management of exhibitions and events
  • In charge of post-exhibition and event evaluation for continuous improvement purpose
  • Work with product manager and education manager in determine strategic priorities, communication plans and resources for key exhibitions and events
  • Develop policies and procedures that ensure a consistent approach to the delivering of exhibitions and events
  • Set up marketing events calendar and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Work with customer service team to ensure event support materials are available and dispatched and collected correctly
  • Maintain and update records of sales and marketing budgets
  • Analyse market trends and competitors’ methods
  • Gather and analyse post market surveillance data on the product portfolio to produce clinical arguments for marketing campaigns and relevant bodies
  • Administer data collection and accuracy for sales and business management software, i.e. Salesforce, Zunos, Wrikes and etc
  • Manage Social media communications (E.g. WhatsApp, LinkedIn).
  • Support new starter organisation (MIA theatre access, DBS checking)
  • Assist in creation of search engine optimisation (SEO), content and design strategies
  • Create certificates for course attendance
  • Manage purchase ordering process
  • Support practical development of legal documentation and signed agreements, liaising with legal professionals

Reporting Lines

JRI Orthopaedics is launching a new and exciting phase of growth, following on from over 50 years of developing innovative products with the highest clinical performance. With that growth there is a need to recruit an energetic individual who is wanting to make their next career step in Orthopaedics to a global product manager role. The successful candidate will have significant knee arthroplasty experience either in sales and/or marketing and a desire to grow their career long term working with one of the worlds largest orthopaedic implant group companies.



The Knee Product Manager is responsible for ensuring customer needs can be met effectively, ethically and profitably with the specified product portfolio “the Focus Products” in line with the company’s objectives. Success in this role requires the development of in depth knowledge of the products and their associated operative techniques to an expert level and the ability to use this knowledge to communicate persuasively with customers, and thus train the sales team to be able to sell the products effectively. The Knee Product Manager must function effectively as a member of the Marketing Team and maintain good productive working relationships with UK and International Sales Management, Innovation and Learning, Customer Services, Operations and relevant third party Suppliers.




  • Use clinical and product expertise to develop and monitor company business plans for the Focus Products ensuring corporate financial objectives for the portfolios are achieved.
  • Provide high level of support to the sales channel by utilising learned specialist and technical expertise to formulate strong sales & marketing arguments for the Focus Products.
  • Use clinical expertise that has been developed through observation and key opinion leader or reference centre collaboration to deliver structured product training programmes across all sales channels and support functions.
  • Using market knowledge and customer contact network collaborate with the UK Sales Management team on development of business growth opportunities for the Focus Products.
  • Work closely with the International Business Manager and our Distributors and Sales Agents to develop opportunities for Focus Products in our international markets.
  • Using knowledge of customer needs work closely with the new product development (NPD) team to identify and lead in developing new product opportunities and enhancements/changes to existing products.
  • In conjunction with the line manager, use knowledge of customer needs and market potential to identify distribution and OEM/OBL opportunities for development and expansion of the product portfolio.
  • Support and deliver the Focus product training internally and externally.
  • Support graphic designer and digital marketing specialist for technical and clinical content of marketing event, campaign and collateral.
  • Project lead marketing exhibitions and the Focus product campaign.   
  • Work effectively with NPD team, Operations and Customer Services to plan and implement product launch programmes and product phase-outs.
  • In conjunction with the line manager, identify and implement suitable clinical, nursing and ancillary training programmes to support the sales of the focus products.
  • Utilise product expertise and market knowledge to develop creative ideas, approaches and insights for the development and implementation of marketing communication plans for the Focus Products.
  • Co-ordinate, collate and analyse post market surveillance on the product portfolio to deliver compelling clinical arguments to the market and make submissions when required, to ODEP, NICE or other relevant bodies.
  • Measuring and monitoring the product or service’s performance as well as presenting product related client, market, and competitive intelligence to the product manager.
  • Assist in development and proposal of overall product strategies, innovation, presentation of marketplace outcome projections, as well as product culture development.
  • Produce relevant standard product presentation, operative technique and selling guides for product management purpose.

  • 5 years’ experience in a sales and/or marketing role either specifically including knee replacement as a significant proportion of the role, or was the sole focus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (ideally in Engineering, Marketing, Science or Health care qualification)

As part of our drive for continuous improvement, we have created a new and exciting opportunity for a top class purchasing specialist with excellent customer service focus.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Customer Logistics Manager is customer facing and responsible for ensuring that all of our customers receive the correct products, in the correct quantities, at the correct time. This needs to be achieved within the financial constraints of the business, balancing inventory levels with sales demands and production capacities. To achieve this level of excellence, the Customer Logistics Manager will work closely with the Sales Team and provide strong leadership for our Customer Service Team, comprising of purchasing, production planning, warehousing and distribution of finished goods.


• To manage the Customer Services Team to provide exceptional customer service and deliver to the agreed KPI’s.
• Deliver and continually develop the sales and operations production planning processes.
• Ensure production is sensibly planned, engage with production team to optimise manufacturing lead time to ensure availability of product to meet customer requirements.
• Provide strong leadership and implement strategies to improve the company’s key metrics with respect to lead time reduction, supplier management, material cost reduction and improved quality.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure they meet performance metrics, provide performance feedback and provide sales forecasts.
• Engage in the negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers resulting in an implementation plan, cost models and a documented agreement. Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures to underpin key supplier relationships.
• Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
• Ensure we accurately despatch all customer requirements communicating all relevant information to our customers and Sales Teams as appropriate.
• Manage all finished goods inventory held both on and off site to optimum levels, providing accurate information for financial reporting including accurate transaction recording, invoicing, product traceability and inventory records.
• Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient Customer Services Team.


• Fully conversant with using an ERP system to schedule raw materials and plan production, ideally a Microsoft Dynamics AX user.

JRI is seeking a clinical project scientist to be responsible for the preparation and annual update of clinical evaluation plan and reports. This position will contribute to project plans, clinical strategy and clinical investigation planning. The incumbent will collaborate with a cross functional project team and will provide input to post market clinical follow up (PMCF) activities, support post market surveillance (PMS) activities and conduct clinical evaluations.

The role will be based in our offices at Sheffield.




  • Apply specialist expertise to compose well-structured and logical Clinical Evaluation Plans and Reports to facilitate design dossier/DHF submissions and meet ISO 14155
  • Analyse and interpret numerous, complex sources of Clinical Data and literature searches. Lead thinking on this area of research.
  • Make rational judgements from the available information and analysis, probing for further information or greater understanding of a problem when needed.
  • Gather comprehensive information to construct reason and data based arguments for certification by substantial equivalence or clinical investigation.
  • Write clearly and succinctly, producing convincing reports and discussions in an engaging and expressive manner.
  • Ensure CERs comply with MEDDEV 2.7/1 rev 4 to meet ISO 14155 and MDR Annex XIV and any legal obligations safety requirements.
  • Ensure (re)submissions remain compliant with latest developments in ISO 13485
  • Participate in and lead new risk assessments to ISO 14971. Engage in risk mitigation.
  • Plan and conduct annual reviews of existing CERs and Risk Management Files ensuring latest ISO standards are continually met.
  • Prepare, support and react to challenges in support of 5 year product recertification, structuring information to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience.
  • Help to ensure resubmissions are made in time and achieve successful review results to hard stop timelines.
  • Design, set up and manage clinical studies in compliance with protocols and the applicable regulations and standards.
  • Management and liaison of clinical evaluation and risk aspects of audits by foreign regulatory bodies such as the FDA or ANVISA
  • Manage knowledge (collect, classify and disseminate useful knowledge)
  • Any other reasonable task which the company may require from time to time.



  • MSc or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Biomedical Science, Bioengineering science or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years related industry experience in Medical Devices, including analysing, interpreting and summarising clinical data for internal and external audiences. 
  • Self-motivated to pursue continuous professional development and education in the fields of clinical science for medical devices and certification.
